The Registry recognizes a marriage as an open-ended drilling permit issued without inspection. Most holders never file. This certificate corrects the record: one spouse on the Authorized Rights Holder line, the other as Subject of Authorized Operations, dated to the wedding day. Exclusive. Perpetual. Framed.

Dana filed on the twelfth anniversary. Marcus hung it in the upstairs hallway between the kids' school photos. The kids have questions. Marcus has referred the kids to the Rights Holder.

She holds the rights

How the paperwork gets filed

Pick the holder

Decide who holds the rights. The other one goes on the subject line. Nobody is consulted. That is traditional.

File the names

Enter both names. Pick the frame that matches the hallway. The certificate fills in before you pay.

Hang it in public

Framed and shipped in 1 to 2 weeks. Above the bed is traditional. The hallway is braver. The guest bathroom is a statement.

Bylaws

Terms of the perpetual permit

Perpetual means perpetual. The permit does not lapse for travel, in-laws, or the playoffs.
Record Status stays Active regardless of frequency, duration, or reported depth. The Authority does not audit and does not want to.
Either party may display the certificate. Neither party may take it down without written authorization from the other.
Renewals are not required. Many holders reorder on the next anniversary anyway, for the look on his face.
The subject line may not be amended after filing. Choose carefully. Or quickly.
