Official Ruling, Docket 1-800
He thinks this weekend is about him. The paperwork says otherwise.
The Registry treats a bachelor party as the final inspection before transfer of rights. The groomsmen act as filing agents. The bride goes on the Authorized Rights Holder line. The groom is the Subject of Authorized Operations, dated to the wedding day. Exclusive. Perpetual. Framed. Presented on a rooftop, in front of everyone, with his drink in his other hand.
Danny read it twice. The second time his face changed. The best man has the video. The bride has the certificate. Danny has the frame.
Record Status: Active, effective the ceremony. Until then he is advised to enjoy the weekend.
Who files for the bride
The bride holds the rights. The question is who signs for her.
Three ways the groomsmen get it done. All three print on the same certificate.

The Groomsmen
Filed collectively at the bar while he orders the round. Everyone chips in, everyone signs the card, nobody says a word until the frame is in his hands.

The Best Man
Filed solo, as the speech. The toast ends, the certificate comes out, the room goes. He keeps the video.

The Bride
Filed by the rights holder herself and delivered to the party by courier, with a note. The note says See you Saturday.
Procedure
How the paperwork gets filed
01
Collect the names
The bride on the holder line, the groom on the subject line. The groom is not consulted. That is the point.
02
File it before the trip
Pick the frame. The certificate fills in before you pay. Allow 1 to 2 weeks, so file before the flights, not from the hotel.
03
Present it in public
Rooftop, bar, boat, golf cart. The best man reads it aloud. Someone films. The frame goes in his carry-on.
Bylaws
Bachelor party bylaws, as adopted by the Authority
- The groom may not decline. The transfer is effective on the wedding date whether or not he accepts the frame.
- The certificate travels home with the groom. What happens on the trip stays on the trip. The paperwork does not.
- It hangs where the bride says. The Registry has no opinion. The Registry has never once been asked.
- Group chat screenshots are permitted and, historically, inevitable.
- The best man keeps the video. For the toast. For the anniversary. For leverage.
